In 1989, Dr. Ong U. Routh studied Computational Mechanics and obtained a PhD in Tsinghua University, China. In 1991, he took a researcher position in Osaka University, Japan, studying the finite element method and its application to the sheet metal forming. Since 1999, he has conducted many industrial software development projects in finite element analysis and multi-rigid-bodies analysis. His career interest is in the research and implementation of numerical algorithms that is directly used to solve engineering problems, such as finite element analysis,  multi-rigid-bodies analysis, differential equations and matrix computations.
